The Break-Up: An Encounter With Danielle Gustilo #OFW49

The attendants served us the food and beverages. Edward also offered the food coming from the Philippines. We’re enjoying our food when I received a call from Danielle.

“You idiot…. why you did this to me!” She shouted in the phone.

“Excuse me people…I’ll answer this call…” I said to them while leaving the table. I went inside my room and answered her.

“Because you don’t respect gave your love to that crazy alien...for only three months, now you’re asking me why?”

“I can’t believe you can do it in front of him!” Danielle shouted at the other end.

“And why are mine alone Danielle..if you don’t want my love for you, then it’s better that way...Roger will remember always. Oh…by the way, that Roger cannot love you anymore…you know why?.....his body is for rent to any woman..…Talk to me in a civil way and I’ll give you an appointment...” Silence at the other end of the line. “You want to talk to me..come to my flat tomorrow 9 in the morning...I’m waiting for you.” I closed my mobile phone and returned to the table.“How are you doing people?”

“We’re enjoying Marco” Mike answered.

“Mike I want to talk to you…” I said. I instructed Mike to purchased video recorder and tape recorder to be positioned in the furniture, paintings and indoor plants for my actual meeting with Danielle. I assigned Mike to assist me in positioning Danielle when she arrived inside the flat.

“Yes Marc I’ll do it after this event.”

I observed that Edward and Vivian were talking to each other intimately that I approached them.

“You two are very sweet…and why?” I teased them.

“Marc, I’m still single you know…”

“Vivian, where are you staying right now? Same place in Al Riqqa?”

“Yes Marco.”

“Can we visit you.. ..I mean with Edward?”

She smiled simultaneously held my hands. “Of course my friend!”

I talked separately with Ryan Mallari about his new participation with my new business endeavor. He also promised me to work hard for his new appointment as Operations Manager in Saudi Arabia.

Edward, Mike and I slept together in my room which we enjoyed chatting each other the whole night planning for the new organization. We even touched the subject about the organization in the Philippines territory. I suggested to Edward that the Philippine business environment was conducive with our food concepts in mind and to be unified in one management system.

Edward proposed a partnership of his food business in the Philippines which he gave me the authority to study and pushed forward if the business was favorable. “Edward I will do that after materializing the business here in the Middle East. You know, I’m planning also to apply the international system of franchising, how about that?”

“Yes that’s great Marco.”

“What’s my role Marco?” Mike asked.

“I have a position in my mind for you, just wait my friend.” I said smiling.

“Okay.” Mike’s smiling while embracing me.

We woke up the next day feeling energized in pursuing our plans, but I had to face Danielle first before anything else. It must be solved as early as possible to put forward with my plans. I personally checked the recorders position, visualized the event in advance and comfortably conditioned my focus for the meeting. Around eight thirty in the morning, Danielle arrived, parked in the parking area and disembarked. She’s alone and slowly walked upstairs. Mike met her at the door and frisked her body and inspected her shoulder bag.

“You truly a bastard!” Danielle suddenly slapped Mike in the face twice. “You have the guts...devil!” Mike accepted it and didn’t say a word. She went inside, looked at me standing at the back of the sofa and walked towards me.

“Welcome are you today...still angry with me?” I began the conversation.

“What do you expect for what you’ve done to me Marco?”

“I expect you to behave..and don’t make a scene here. Besides, I have plan for you…if you’ll be with my suggestions…fair for you?” She looked at me into my eyes which I did the same to her. “Honestly, I don’t like the way you looked at me.”

“And why?”

“It seems that you are against…. for what I want to tell you.”

“Are you expecting me to follow what you wanted me to do?”

“Right Danielle…agreed?”

“First, I would like to know what you want from me, and then I can decide what’s best for you.”

“You always use your poisonous caprices when dealing with me?”

“That’s what you’re thinking since we met in Bacolod City?”

“That’s what your character showed...your intention to me...”

‘What do you expect then? Before answering…have a seat…would you care for a cup of coffee or breakfast?”

“No I can manage.” She seated in a sofa where I positioned in front of her.

“I expect you to love me.”

“Listen, we agreed about this matter and I submitted myself to you here in Dubai. I gave you what we agreed upon, another child for us..I..I followed our agreement love blossomed for you but I can give only here in Dubai. I took my vacation for three months and what you’ve changed it all by loving Roger, that you gave yourself to him!”

“Yes I got what I wanted for you, two children and that’s enough...Because you cannot marry me...Roger can give everything I wanted in life!”

“That’s what you think! She’s using you to put forward his ambitions, you know that?”

“As what you’ve done to me Marco?”

“I married Ayah Isabel because I wanted to live my life with my own energy..coming from my own..but you tried to capture me, isn’t it?”

“Wrong Marco! I want to have children from you.”

“And why you’re doing this to me?”

“As part of my plan for you all the means to fight back...making you as a monster instead of a loving husband..baiting you you can afford to do….”

I suddenly grabbed her that Edward held me tightly while Mike secured all the doors. I calmed down and asked for a cup of strong coffee. She sat motionless looking at me.

“Thank you Edward, you are intelligent than him.” She said degrading me. I controlled my temper to go on with her ploy, I thought. “Okay I’m not intelligent but I have the guts to accept your challenge.”

“You hated Roger Ferrer because you’re nothing compared to him!”

‘Huh…that son of alien…you’re comparing me to him? You’re nuts Danielle!”

“You’ve got all my wealth but its okay for me. As long as I’m your back Marco..I’m with you wherever you go...remember this always.” She stood starting to leave but faced us instead. “Edward…Mike…thank you for helping him grew like a monster…deep inside of him.” She walked towards the door, “Mike opens the door please…” She went outside laughing until she disappeared.

I asked Edward and Mike to accompany me to my resident legal attorney for the transfer of all business entities to my name, visas for my manpower requirements and other important things with regards to business and employment.

“Mike I’ll make a list of what you’re going to do while I’m away. I have to go to the Philippines for my children…..Edward you come with me or stay here for the meantime?”

“Marco, I’ll stay here with Mike in starting with our business plans.”

“Okay then..has to prepare for my travel.”

I traveled alone going to the Philippines with my mind centered on Danielle and the things I want to do.

My New Organization #OFW48

I was planning to leave at once going to the Philippines for possible reconstruction on my part as a precaution for the future. I knew Danielle, she could make the world go round, if she wanted to, in the future. I had to be sure with my steps in securing all the things that belongs to me now; even my legal family.

I relayed my messages to the entire business outlets about Danielle’s resignation and ownership of the company. Edward called me up about his arrival at Dubai International Airport. I’m tired but I had to move.

“Edward wait for me I’m coming, okay?”

“Yes my friend, I’m excited to see you!”

“Me too!” We picked him up, brought to my flat and exchanging news to each other. Mike served us food and drinks.

“Where’s your assignments my friend?”

“In my suitcase, I’ll give it to you now?”

“Yes.” Edward handed me the folder which I put in my table. “I’ll read this tonight. And where’s my mangoes?”

“Of course in my baggage….. and some other food too.”

“Let’s go to Ronnie’s flat Edward…”

“What happened to your hand Marco?”

“An accident….forget it…let’s go!” Mike drove the car while we seated at the back of the car and went to Ronnie’s flat. Edward showed a little uneasiness of his action.

“What’s the matter with you?” I asked.

“Just….very excited to see my son.”

“Hold your emotions my friend.” We went upstairs to the second floor where the company’s accommodation was situated, knocked Ronnie’s door and a guy opened the door. We asked about Ronnie Ramirez, that he pointed the other double-deck bed. We saw him still sleeping that Edward touched his son’s hair, and woke him up slowly. Father and son hugged each other in front of us.

“How are you my son?” Edward said.

“Papa I’m fine…just living the way I am...,” Ronnie said.

“I’m here for you and at the same time for our business partnership.”

“Okay Papa….we have meeting for tomorrow.”

“Yes in Marco’s flat at Salahuddin Street..”

“I brought you some Filipino food, your favorite.”

“Thanks Papa, we’ll see tomorrow.”

“Okay son, bye for now.”Edward said to his son.

“Edward we’ll visit some places here in Dubai.” I said.

“Let’s go!”

We roamed around Dubai which Edward enjoyed a lot while we’re eating “shawarma,” “paratha bread” and “chicken tikka with green salad and yogurt. Three of us really enjoyed the day that we once shared. The friendship that blossomed for years cannot be ruined by anybody else known only for a day. We rested the whole night for the following day job.

Mike and some of the store staff prepared the meeting place, food and beverages. It was a pleasant day for us to start the day with energy and vigor. Edward, Mike and I seated in front of the long table, having our coffee waiting for the guests, and preparing our agenda of the meeting.

Vivian Montoya was the first to arrive that we greeted her instantly and thanked her. She’s the same woman I knew for sure, while looking at her. Edward too was looking at her with a sparkle in his eyes.

“Edward, this is Vivian Montoya, my friend.” I introduced her to Edward.

“Glad to meet you Vivian.” Edward said while holding her hand.

“Marco, I heard that you are busy with your business...can you hired me?”

“Oh…yes, that’s a part of our meeting today. Edward kindly talk to Vivian....I have something to prepare in advance, okay?’

“Yes Marco, I love it!”

Ten minutes had passed, Ronnie Ramirez, Ruel Mondragon, Joel Arevalo, and Arnold Castillano came in batch. Then, Ryan Mallari and Susan Magtoto arrived together. Mike received them with open arms as what I instructed.

I was sitting in a table browsing my folders, but I was observing them all for anything special about their attitudes. My staff selection was very stringent; just business knowledge, determination, behavior and performance.

Everybody was seated on their respective seats, that I started the meeting.

“Good morning everyone…first of all, I would like to introduce Mr. Edward Ramirez of Bacolod City as my new partner for this business. Some of you knew him; he’s the father of Ronnie Ramirez…. You know, all of you are my friends, one way or the other contributed to my stay here in the Emirates, especially Dubai… At present we have four manpower agencies and four fast food stores. With my knowledge I’ve got some information that International Restaurants are planning to invade the Emirates and Saudi Arabia through building up their stores in every streets of Dubai….. So, we are planning to open up more stores but with different food concepts; and that, we need employees like you to manage these stores….. I selected all of you for the higher positions with substantial salary and benefits, and I am giving percentage as commission if you reach your target sales. Are you with me for this development? Please raise your right hand if you want the offer….so that I can decide for the management positioning.”

Everyone raised their right hands that gave much delight to plans and development.

“Okay, great!.….Congratulate yourself and the whole group…please…” Their handshakes to each other give me a strength to go on with my goals.

“I know that some of you are working right now, and some of you have problems with employers. One by one…please, starting from the front…Mike you’re the first.” I said.

“My name is Mike Luna, my employer already approved my resignation and I’m waiting for my tickets and benefits. I think next week, I’ll be in the Philippines. Thank you!” Mike reported.

“I am Vivian Montoya, a TNT but I want to work with this new company and I need your help for my situation. Thank you.” Vivian said.

“Well, as you all know, I’m the son of Mr. Edward Ramirez and willing to be with this endeavor; I’m presently employed thank you,” Ronnie presented himself.

“I’m Joel Arevalo…also willing to work here…presently employed too.” Susan, Ruel, Arnold and Ryan introduced their employment status to the group.

“Now, each of you will receive my recommendation on how to transfer or resign from your employer. Be sure to do it as early as possible within this month, for me to apply for your visas. There are workers coming from the Philippines too. If you have any questions about this matter, report to me at once,” I said confidently.

Edward presented his assignment to the group and suggestions were absorbed to study further. I also, presented the planned concepts to the group for comments.

“My ideas for the concepts are pasta, pizza, grilled chicken, fried chicken, coffee shop, sandwiches, salads and beverages. We can devise mixed-concepts food stores within these categories into one, but with separate counters. What do you think - any suggestion?” I said.

“Yes we can do that Sir Marco, since we have our raw materials available here in the Emirates. I suggest that we can have a commissary and warehouse for this stuff for easy operations, distribution and selling.” Ronnie suggested.

“Very good Ronnie…. good suggestion…. .any suggestion?” Nobody answered. “Okay, for each of you, I assigned a position best-suited to all of you. Ronnie Ramirez will be our Operations Manager; Vivian Montoya will be our Area Manager, and Susan you’re in Accounting Department, three of you here in UAE Territory.

And, for Saudi Arabia; Operations Manager, Ryan Mallari, and Area Manager, Joel Arevalo. Arnold you’ll be with them in KSA in Accounting Department. The new company needs your brains, skills, knowledge and determination to succeed with your job. I’m giving you a monthly salary that fits with your work. By the way, Mike Luna will be my assistant…If I’m not around you can relay your concern to him. And, Edward will be my partner for this company. Any question?”

I gave my handshake to them all and hugged Edward. “Friend, I’m dreaming or not?” I whispered to Edward.

“Best friend, you’re the best!” Edward answered.

“Okay, let’s eat!”

“Because you don’t respect gave your love to that crazy alien…for only three you’re asking me why?”

The Evil Within Me #OFW47

You’re crazy bastard!...You devil Marco! You’re nothing but trash!”

The evil within me started to rise which I knew I was feeding when I needed it. This time, was the proper time for me to release these evils that wanted to explore within me. My mind centered only to the jealousy that I felt with this man that befriended me; and snatched my everlasting possession without knowing who the hell I was in the life of this devil woman.

I stood up and looked for Roger that I felt my bloody soul was soaring high to eat him alive. But I want them to felt the way I wanted them to be, that for a long time, they will not forget it. I walked toward Roger Ferrer; my clinched fist fall into his face and the rest all over his body. I made a remarkable evil deed to his naked body in front of Danielle, while Mike filming the event. An event in which the two of them will never forget.

“Danielle…look at him...this is what you want from him!!” I shouted to her pointing to Roger’s male organ.

“You are a crazy devil!!” Danielle answered back.

“Danielle looks very like it or not! I'll keep this video for future use...!!”

“Marco….please…I’m sorry…I didn’t know about your relation with Danielle…I thought she’s single…that’s the truth Marco..please…” Roger begging for me. I continued punching him, “Not bad huh Roger…” Still whispering into his ear.

Mike continued recording the video with Roger, as what I ordered.

“Since both of you are in love with each other I wanted you both to be together, but I want the actual lovemaking be recorded. Are you approved of my idea Danielle...Roger?”

“Marco, why are you doing this to me?” Danielle asked.

“Because you broke my heart in two and you are not the woman for our two children. You have no rights for bitch!”

“I gave you everything....what more do you want?”

“I want you to love be with me always...not for anybody broke my heart loving this man!”

“But you have a family Marco…I don’t have a man to marry’s only Roger who offered it to me!”

“No you are mine alone!”

“I’m recording this moment for our children to know what their mother’s doing here in Dubai!”

“Mike, take Roger to the bed together with Danielle.” I ordered. “Danielle, since you made a mistake in loving this man…and you want to leave me…this is the prize I’ll give to both of you!” I sat beside Danielle and whispered into her ear. “What can you say, do you like it? It’s better this way than having Roger alone.”

She only looked at me with fury and she really knew what I meant.

“Yes…you’re the mother of my children; that was before, but now, I don’t respect you anymore because you’re not respecting me when you keep your relationship while I’m away……and you have no right for the children because you’re trash!.... If you want to talk to me, call me personally. And, by the way, don’t ever report this to authority,” I said to her seriously.

I walked towards Roger and said with vengeance, “Don’t ever report this to authority or anybody else, what happened tonight is nothing for you because that’s what you’re doing in Manila...a male prostitute!..... and I don’t want to know that you are seeing each other in the future. Understood?”

“Mike, put on Roger’s clothes and we’ll take him outside....get the documents in the car and come back here.” I ordered Mike.

Mike did what I told him to do, brought Roger inside the car and the documents to me. I untied Danielle’s hands, kissed on her lips, and embraced her tightly. “Now...sign these papers..,” She signed the papers while crying. “You know where you can find me,” I whispered into her ear.

Ryan’s waiting for us in the parking place as a look out while we went outside the house. We left the place going to Salahuddin Road, brought Roger Ferrer inside my flat and talk to him.

“So, how’s the show Roger? Maybe you’re surprised why it’s like this? Are you aware that she’s my wife here in Dubai?”

“No Marco, I didn’t know about it, even Ryan Mallari can attest to that...”

“I want you to keep distance with her starting this moment...yallah go!” I shouted. “Mike accompany him near his flat in Al Fahidi...dropped him there and be careful with the police.” As I sat alone in my bed, I thought that I could do evil things beyond my imagination. Unlike in the past, I was ravaged by other people’s whims and caprices. I had my own way in spinning my world as what I wanted to in the future.

Danielle's In Love With My Friend Roger Ferrer #OFW46

We returned to my office in Al Riqqa Street which was at the second floor of the first store outlet. The four store outlets really gaining profits because of the in-flocks of foreign nationals to Dubai after the Gulf War. The international news announced that the Allied forces were willing to reconstruct Iraq after the destruction. Manpower requirements were needed for these endeavors and I was targeting more contracts from different companies.

I approached my attorney who was maintaining our legal business transactions about the possibility of transferring all the businesses to my name. I received positive answer for him and talk to him about the approval of manpower visas of the new staff that I was planning to hire. I told him to issue documents of transfer which I was planning to be executed by Danielle.

I telephoned Joel Arevalo, Arnold Castillano, Susan Magtoto and Vivian Montoya for the forthcoming meeting on Friday. Also, I contacted the two manpower agencies for a possible meeting to them and assigned to submit reports about the operations. Mike Luna submitted his resignation paper to his employer and was accepted. We went home in my flat, took some rest and dressed up.

It was six o’clock in the evening when I finished my daily duty that I asked Mike to accompany me for another mission.

“Marco what’s our mission tonight?” Mike asked me instantly.

“We have to visit my friend Ryan Mallari in Deira side.” We steered going to Ryan’s flat where we directly went upstairs and knocked the door.

“Good evening, Ryan’s there inside?" I said to a man who opened the door. Ryan appeared with an angry face to us. “Why are you here?”

“You’re my friend isn’t it? Can we talk?” I said with a serious face.

“Come inside....Marc...Mike...”

“Can we talk inside your room Ryan?”

“Sure…come inside…”

We went inside his room while Mike was at my back ready for any trouble.

“What can I do for you?” Ryan asked me in a serious tone.

“You can do a lot for me if you’ll answer me honestly.”

“ you expect me to answer you honestly?”

“Yes…you will… I know.”

“Then…what is it?”

“You connived with Miss Danielle and Joel Arevalo to implicate me with my vices here in Dubai?”

“Yes....that was before...but not now.”

“Are you saying that you don’t owe me what you’ve done to me?”

“Marco...please...I don't wan trouble....”

“You owe me something and I need payment, right Ryan?” He didn’t answer me. “How about with Danielle and Roger Ferrer...are you helping them while I’m away?” Still he's not saying a word, he’s just looking at me. “Answer me…..I need your answer!” I shouted at him fiercely.

“Roger Ferrer loved Danielle so much...he talked to me in helping him...”

“How...can you elaborate for me...?”

“I told some information about Danielle....that’s it.”

“What information?”

“That she’s kind of a wealthy person...and beautiful...that’s all.”

“Because he liked Danielle...he’s in love with Danielle I think... ”

“So, where’s Roger right now?”

“Still working in Al Fahidi store...same company...”

“Good...don’t ever help him’s the 5,000 dirhams as a gift from me, for giving me informaion...Come on, take it.” He accepted and thanked him. I know him so well, that money is always the key for Ryan Mallari.

“I have an offer for you want to be with us? I mean to work with my company?”

“Yes Marco...actually I don’t have work right now...”

“Do you be loyal to me?...I know...I hated you...but in business, all's fair, right Ryan?"

“Yes Marc...yes..Actually I heard that Roger and Danielle have a date tonight at Le Rendezvous Disco at Al Nasr Leisureland.”

“Okay...fine...come with us. Ryan Mallari this is Mike Luna, my best friend partner. ”

“Hi...I’m Ryan Mallari...Mike.” He extendeded his arm to Mike.

“Okay guys let’s go!” I said. “Ryan you’re the driver, we’re going to Jumeirah Beach House.”

It’s around eight in the evening when I checked the time on my wristwatch. The evening air kept my mind to absorbed things easily. It soothed my face and the whole of my body. It gave freshness in the outside, but deep in my heart, it’s burning profusely. I entered the house, open the lights and checked the house silently. I went to Danielle’s room but she’s not there. I checked thoroughly every angles of the room which I noticed a pocket-sized picture of Roger Ferrer at the base of the bed’s leg. I kept it in my wallet and went outside.

“Okay, Ryan..Mike...let’s proceed to Le Rendezvous Disco at Karama, le's go!”

It was almost ten in the evening when we arrived at the disco where we seated at the upper portion of the place with a video recorder in my hand. It’s almost full with people, mostly Filipinos. I searched my view around the disco house before I ordered our liquor drinks. I called a waiter for a bottle of Tequila and beef appetizers.

Ryan and Mike went around observing the people and the place. They came back on our table after five minutes of roaming around.

“Take your shots Ryan...Mike..any news?” I said.

“Marco, my girlfriend’s here with another Filipino guy.” Mike said.

“So, what’s your decision?”

“Just leave them for now...I know this guy.”

“Did you see Danielle or Roger?”

“Not yet Marco….” Ryan said.

“Ryan are you sure about your information?”

‘Yes Marco I’m sure.”

“We’ll wait for them.” I said.

After half an hour, I saw them entering at the entrance which they seated at the corner of the place near the counter.

“Do you see them at the corner Mike...Ryan?” I said with fire inside of me.

“Yes Marco.” They answered in unison.

“What we are going to do Marco?”Ryan asked.

“We’ll wait for them to come out and we’ll follow them. We have to capture them both.”

Around two in the morning, they left and drove slowly heading to Jumeirah Beach House. We did not make any move but to follow them at the house.

“You two must watch carefully; Ryan you’re at the front door and Mike you’re with me inside the room, okay?”

“Yes Marco.”

We saw Danielle and Roger entered into the house which we followed them inside. They kissed each other at the front of the Danielle’s room and entered. After a minute, we slowly opened the door without making any sound. They continued kissing each other in the bed, which I instantly put on the light. I instructed Mike to tied Roger in the wall on standing position, naked. I came nearer to Danielle in the corner of the bed.

“Very good and amazing huh..Danielle? You want special love?” I said teasing her and tied Danielle’s hands in the bed headboard which she shouted with fury in her eyes.

“You’re crazy bastard!...You devil Marco! You're nothing but trash!”

Organizing My Empire #OFW45

I worked early in my office; lists all the people that I want to talk through the telephone, emails and personal meetings. I checked the stores productivity, revenues, expenses, and stocks for the last three months when I was on vacation. I called up Ayah Isabel first over the phone.

“Hello Ayah, how are you and the children?”

“I am fine Marco, and you?”

“Just a little headache, but I’m fine.”

“It’s early morning there…how’s Bryan and Donna?”

“They’re good…Bryan started to organize the people and checking the documents. By the way, Lina asked me to work with Bryan in Makati, so I accepted her on Bryan workforce.”

“Good my love…thank you for your leadership…how’s Lina? She’s still living in Imus, Cavite with her son?”

“Yes Marco…his son in high school now…but I think Lina has a suitor right now.”

“Actually I hired Mike as my assistant, I felt he’s still wanted to take Lina back? Just talk to Lina about it and I’m the one to make a move for them.”

“Tell Bryan to call me here in Dubai…I want to talk to him.”

“Okay Marc…I love you….take care always….”

“Love you too…give my kiss to all the kids.”

“I will Marc, bye.”

I made a strong instant coffee at the office kitchen and dialed Edward’s mobile number, “Hello, good morning Edward the King!.....Get up!”

“Good morning Marco…I’m still sleepy….you greedy-dragon-in-the….”

“Wash your face….you moron…”

“What’s up?”

“How’s your food business?.....By the way, where are you right now?...Bantayan Island or Bacolod Ciy?”

“Of course here in Bacolod….with my business.”

“Can you come here in Dubai this coming Thursday? We’ll organize the concept of our new business partnership….”

“I’m quite busy….but for sure, I’ll attend because this is the first time I can experience the “City of Dreams.” Kindly tell Ronnie that I’m coming…what you want me to bring?...Pinipig, latik, siopao, siomai…say it my friend…I’m excited!”

“Hey you crazy boar…don’t forget my mangoes…green and yellow…”

“That’s all?”

“And Bibingka....”

“Wheww…. great of you!”

“Seriously, I need some Filipino recipes that we can utilize with our food business. Also, bring samples of packaging materials from different manufacturing companies there in the Philippines….and don’t forget the costing of each. And, prepare a report about the Philippine food industry...the latest...”

“Okay Marco, I’ll do it starting today…too much assignment for me….”

“That’s good for you….you can do it….you crazy businessman!”

“Okay Marco, bye!”

“Bye Edward!” Before I resumed calling my father, I called Mike for our lunch which he suggested to be eaten in the office kitchen. “Mike how about a food delivery from our store in Al Riqqa?”

“Okay, I’ll call them.”

“Just call me here if the food’s ready okay?”

“Yes Marco.”

I dialed my father’s cell-phone number. “Papa good morning..... Still sleeping? How are you?”

“It’s you son, Marco, we’re fine….I’m waiting for your call.”

“I see ….where is Mama?"

“Still sleeping…I’ll wake her up?"

“No Papa…Kindly sends the list of our relatives who would like to work here in Dubai and Saudi Arabia. I’ll apply for them their visas, be sure they have complete documents especially passport. I’ll give you the person whom you have to submit in Bacolod City.”

“Okay son, I’ll do it as soon as possible.”

“Yes father please…if you cannot do it, tell Brother Manuel to help you.”

“Okay son Bye.”

I dialed Danielle’s mobile number but still she’s not answering it. I stood up and called Mike to come with me.

“Marco, our lunch is ready….where are we going?”

“Wrap it up…we’ll eat lunch in Jumeirah Beach house.”

“Okay just a minute…”

We traveled from Al Riqqa Road passed through the Clock Tower to Karama, turned to Dubai Ports going to Jumeirah Road. We hurriedly parked, open the door and call Danielle. Nobody’s answering that we knocked the door of her room which was locked. I tried to call her for the second time but still she’s not answering. “Mike, get something that we can open this door.” I ordered.

“Okay Marco.”

Mike gave me a hammer that I instantly banged the door knob and came inside. We saw Danielle’s sitting in bed reading pocket book without looking at us. “What happened to you huh,” I said in a loud voice. “What you want now?” She continued reading the pocket book without saying a word. I approached her and sat on the bed beside her.

“Danielle, I can’t go on with you when you’re behaving like this…please talk to me…” She looked at me with hatred in her eyes, then back again reading her book.

“Say it to me…what I’m going to do…please Danielle…”

“Leave me alone…alone!” She shouted at me.

“How can I leave you with your situation here?”

“I can manage by myself…”

“Are you telling me that you don’t love me anymore?” She didn’t answer: instead she stood up and went to the kitchen that I followed her.

“And why are you following me, you bastard!”

He shouted at me on my face that I slapped her face with force. She slumped on the kitchen sink, gets a knife and stabbed me; but I held her hand tightly and the knife dropped in the floor. My tempered got broiled, I clamped both palms on her neck which Mike suddenly released my hands to her. She choked running to her room and locked the door. I punched the tiled wall with my right hand that blood oozes instantly. Mike held my hand, got his handkerchief and tied it.

“Marco, let’s go to the hospital…quick!”

We went to the car while Mike holding my hand and told me to carry with my left hand. He drove going to the nearest hospital and admit me to the emergency section. I was treated but luckily there was no bone fracture that I was released at once. We went to the Jumeirah Beach to clear my mind and shouted at the shore while releasing he pain. The hurt that I felt was relived with the help of the sea breeze that touched my face and heart. Mike approached me in the shore coming from the car. He extended his hands to my shoulder and comforted me.

“Mike…sorry…” I said.

“No problem Pareng Marco…. Still here for you.”

“Mike you have to resign in your job and I’ll process your papers back here in Dubai. Are you willing to have a vacation in the Philippines?”

“Yes Marco I’ll submit my resignation tomorrow.”

“Okay then, let’s go…let’s have our lunch…you like pizza?”

“Anything Marc….”

“Let’s drive to the Pizza Hut store in Jumeirah-Satwa Road…come…” Again, Mike drove the car going to Pizza Hut store. We ordered a whole Pepperoni pizza, salads and cola. Both of us ate hastily that I ordered another whole Hawaiian pizza.

“Mike your wife is working with the manpower agency in Makati, Ayah hired her.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes trust me…I talked to Ayah this morning.”

“How is she?”

“Of course she’s back to her form again…sexy and single. Why, are you still interested with her?”

“We have a son remember, how’s my son?”

“Your son’s studying in high school…why your son, you’re not providing them.”

“Sorry Marc, but this time I have to talk to Lina about this…when I’m going to the Philippines for vacation.”

“Good…try to return to her because she has a suitor right now.”

“Thank you Marc.”

“You want something more?”

“I’m full Marco.”

“Okay let’s go to Al Riqqa….in my office.”
